“Why would anyone care what I have to say?”

For a 40 year old introvert, learning how to interact within social media can be pretty daunting. I never really understood Facebook because I had no desire to randomly tell people what I was doing. Again, the belief of”Why would anyone care what I have to say?” got in the way.

My Fears Keep Me From What I Want

The problem is, I have learned that building relationships and creating a thriving community is essential to success on the Internet. People need to trust you and trust comes from relationship. Relationship comes from interaction and interaction comes only after I face my fear of putting myself out there.

Putting Action To What I Want

So, I decided to create No More Dollars For Hours as a way for me to practice “putting myself out there.” It requires me to be seen even if I don’t know everything or I make mistakes. It is my attempt to be real.
